A deciduous tree, the Parrotiopsis jacquemontiana is part of the Witch Hazel family which is native to the western Himalayas and Asia. The flowers which consist of white bracts and yellow stamens, appear in spring before any leaves. Grows to approx 3 - 6 mtrs. Prefers partial shade but will tolerate full sun.
