Billbergia Nutans (also known as Queens tears or the friendship plant) have long tough, leathery leaves with shallow roots. Their long pink flower stems produce clusters of multicoloured blooms - pink with blue and green segments and elongated yellow stamens. They grow to approx 45cm in height. These bromeliads are easily grown in shady spots.
