Also known as Yarrows, the Achillea is said to be named after Achilles, who's soldiers were said to have used yarrow to treat their wounds at the siege of Troy. Flowering for weeks during Summer and often into Autumn, they last well as cut flowers. Grows to approx 70cm high by 30cm wide. Foliage is frilly, feathery like green leaves with their flowers towering nearly four times its foliage height. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Spreads easily, so keep under control.
